“It is a privilege to be able to do this type of work for a living. As a wildlife officer, I hope that I make at least a little bit of a positive difference.”

Meet Jeremy!

Six years ago, Jeremy started working with Environment and Climate Change Canada as a Wildlife Enforcement Officer. Based out of British Columbia, Jeremy conducts wildlife enforcement patrols throughout the province and neighbouring Yukon Territory, via patrol truck, boat, aircraft, helicopter and ATV. One of his most memorable patrols was in the Tombstone Mountain Range of the Yukon Territory, where he checked caribou hunters to ensure they were licensed and had valid permits. Every day is different and working outside is Jeremy’s favourite aspect of the job.
