The Government of Canada asked Canadians for their input and ideas on the draft terms of reference for conducting the strategic assessment of thermal coal mining. Their input will help determine how thermal coal mine projects will be conducted under the Impact Assessment Act.

The comment period was from July 30, 2020 to August 28, 2020.
