Minister McKenna will visit Napanee and Kingston to highlight actions protecting the environment and building a more sustainable future

Kingston, Ontario – July 25, 2018 –The Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, will travel to Napanee and Kingston tomorrow to make announcements on protecting nature and meet with local representatives who are taking climate action to protect the environment and grow the economy.

Minister McKenna will highlight actions the Government of Canada is taking to protect the environment, grow the economy and build a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Event: Announcement with the Nature Conservancy of Canada and media availability

Minister McKenna will join the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Mike Bossio, MP for Hastings—Lennox and Addington, to announce the expansion of an important conservation area and an open house at the NCC's new office in Napanee.

Located in the “Sustainable City of Kingston,” Kingston General Hospital recently underwent a $10 million, five-year effort to upgrade its energy systems. Media representatives can join the Minister on her tour of the facility.
