The Government of Canada to hold an announcement and technical briefing on the next step to support building a clean, reliable, and affordable electricity grid in Canada

Toronto, Ontario – August 9, 2023 Media representatives are advised that the Government of Canada will hold a bilingual technical briefing followed by an in-person announcement on the next step to building a clean, affordable, and reliable electricity system in Canada with senior government officials from Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Department of Energy and Natural Resources Canada.

The technical briefing will be on background only and not for attribution.

Following the technical briefing, the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, will make an important announcement at the Climate Positive Energy Initiative conference followed by a media availability.
