Canada, British Columbia, and the First Nations Leadership Council to make a significant announcement on protecting and conserving nature

Vancouver, British Columbia – November 2, 2023 Media representatives are advised that the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change; the Honourable David Eby, Premier of British Columbia; the Honourable Nathan Cullen, Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship for British Columbia; Regional Chief Terry Teegee, British Columbia Assembly of First Nations; Robert Phillips, First Nations Summit; and Grand Chief Stewart Phillip, Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs, will make an important announcement on protecting and conserving biodiversity, habitats, and species at risk in British Columbia.

They will be joined by the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources; Patrick Weiler, Member of Parliament for West Vancouver—Sunshine Coast—Sea to Sky Country; and Chief Jennifer Thomas, Tsleil-Waututh Nation.
