The Government of Canada to make a funding announcement to increase conserved areas in southern Ontario

East Gwillimbury, Ontario – August 6, 2024 – Media representatives and others are advised that Julie Dabrusin, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change and to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, will make a funding announcement to increase conserved areas in southern Ontario. She will be joined by Virginia Hackson, Mayor, Town of East Gwillimbury; Rick Wilson, Manager of Data and Analytics, Conservation Ontario; Quentin Hanchard, Chief Administrative Officer, Credit Valley Conservation Authority; and Tony Van Bynen, Member of Parliament for Newmarket–Aurora. Following the announcement, the Parliamentary Secretary, Julie Dabrusin, will hold a media availability.
