The following equipment is required:

Probe:: A borosilicate glass liner, approximately 13 mm inside diameter, encased in a stainless steel tube with a heating system capable of maintaining an exit gas temperature greater than 120°C, or the acid dew point of the sample gas, whichever is greater. A fine wool plug (quartz or borosilicate) is inserted at the liner inlet for particulate removal.
Pitot Tube:: A calibrated S-type pitot tube, or equivalent, to measure the velocity pressure of the stack gas.
Inclined Manometer:: An inclined manometer, or equivalent, capable of measuring the pitot velocity pressure to within 0.1 mm H₂O (0.004 inch H₂O) on the 0-25 mm H₂O (0-1 inch H₂O) scale.
Stopcock:: A three-way T-bore stopcock valve with 12/5 spherical joints compatible with midget impingers. This valve permits purging the probe, "leak-checking" the train, and sampling the flue gas.
Rubber Bulb:: A one-way rubber squeeze-bulb to purge the sample probe.
Midget Bubbler:: One 25-mL midget bubbler with 12/5 ball joints.
Midget Impingers:: Three 25-mL midget impingers.
Drying Tube:: A tube packed with 6-16 mesh indicating-type silica gel.
Vacuum Pump:: A leak-proof vacuum pump to draw the gas sample.
Control Valve:: A needle valve to control the sample flow rate.
Rotameter:: A calibrated rotameter with a range of 1 to 5 L/min to measure the sampling rate.
Dry Gas Meter:: A calibrated dry gas meter capable of measuring the sample volume to within one percent. This meter shall be temperature compensated or equipped with temperature indicators.
Barometer:: A barometer able to measure the atmospheric pressure to within 0.35 kPa (0.1 inch mercury (Hg)).
