Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 129(3) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA), the conditions of disposal at sea permit no. 4543‑2‑04467 are varied and approved as follows. The amendment is published on the Canadian Environmental Protection Act Registry on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
3. Duration of permit: permit is valid from October 13, 2020, to October 12, 2021.
3.1. The loading and disposal at sea activities are restricted to the following periods: from October 13, 2020 to March 31, 2021, from June 1st to July 15, 2021, and from August 11th to October 12, 2021.
3.2. The loading and disposal at sea activities may be carried out in the harbor between April 1, 2021 and May 31, 2021, only if measures to limit the dispersion of suspended sediments in the aquatic environment are put in place, that these measures do not trap fish within the harbor, and that the sediment plume remains within the harbor and does not approach a spawning area.
