Public consultation process for recycled content for certain plastic manufactured items Regulations under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999
The Government of Canada published a Notice of Intent in the Canada Gazette, Part I and a technical issues paper on the development of proposed Regulations that would set minimum recycled content requirements for certain plastic manufactured items. A public consultation on minimum recycled content requirements is now open until March 14, 2022. Feedback received during the consultation will be taken into account as the proposed Regulations are developed.
