Risk Assessment | The conclusions that 2-EEA is not harmful under CEPA 1999 is inappropriate considering that it may be an endocrine disruptor and may pose a risk at even low levels of exposure. | Based on the analysis of relevant information, exposure from 2-EEA is below the level at which critical health effects are likely. Based on this information the Government has found that 2-EEA does not meet the criteria of section 64 (c) of CEPA, 1999. |
Risk Management | It is recommended that 2-EEA be added to the List of Toxic Substances on Schedule I of CEPA 1999 or that 2-EEA be added to the Priority Substances List for a more rigorous and complete assessment. Further, it was recommended at least to apply Future Notification. | 2-EEA does not meet the definition of the criteria of section 64 of CEPA, 1999. It is being recommended for a Significant New Activity provision of CEPA 1999. |
