The Canadian Hurricane Centre is co-located with the Atlantic Storm Prediction Centre (ASPC) and the National Lab for Marine and Coastal Meteorology at Environment Canada's Atlantic Region headquarters in downtown Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This modern facility is home to more than three dozen forecasters and is fully equipped with the latest forecast production tools. Our computing network is linked into Environment Canada's super computing network in Dorval, Quebec, that provides us with latest weather models. The Hurricane Centre also has a dedicated media briefing room that allows visiting media to capture weather events as they unfold without disturbing our forecasters.
