Beaufort Sea satellite image December 2014

RADARSAT-2 and NOAA satellite images taken on December 1, 2014 of the Beaufort Sea. The image highlights fast ice along the Yukon Coast and thin first-year ice along the Alaskan coast. A mix of thin first-year ice and grey-white ice can be found off the coast and a mix of multi-year ice, thin first-year ice and grey-white ice in the Beaufort Sea.
