FedNor Invests in Community Infrastructure to rehabilitate Chisholm Township Tennis Courts

A Government of Canada investment of $17,475 will assist the Township of Chisholm to promote healthy and active living by making improvements to its two tennis courts. The courts are open to all residents and the restoration work will allow for a safer and more enjoyable experience for users of all ages.

Anthony Rota, Member of Parliament for Nipissing–Timiskaming, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced this Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program investment. Specifically, the funding will be used to repair and resurface the tennis courts, as well as install new drainage.

The Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) funding, delivered in Northern Ontario through FedNor, is part of the Government of Canada's coordinated approach to mark the 150th anniversary of Confederation. These investments across Canada will help create jobs, boost economic activity, strengthen communities, and celebrate Canada's rich heritage and history.
