Government of Canada Announces Infrastructure Investment to Support Social and Economic Development and Growth in Bonfield

February 22, 2017 – Bonfield, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario - FedNor
The Government of Canada is investing $56,600 to enable the Township of Bonfield to make improvements to its outdoor rink. The project will provide improved access to this important community recreational facility and will lead to increased usage by local residents and visitors alike.
Anthony Rota, Member of Parliament for Nipissing—Timiskaming, made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor. The FedNor funding, provided through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program, will enable the Township of Bonfield to add a heated change room and a Zamboni garage to the existing facility.
