FedNor Investment Supports the Revitalization of Larder Lake’s Skating Rink

April 18, 2017 – Larder Lake, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario - FedNor

The Government of Canada is investing $100,000 to help overhaul the existing ice skating rink in the Township of Larder Lake, and install the necessary infrastructure to enable its conversion to a splash pad during the summer months.

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced this Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) investment. Specifically, the funding will help with landscaping, the pouring of a new concrete pad, and the purchase and installation of piping, rink boards, and splash pad equipment.
