The Government of Canada is investing $120,000 to enable the Municipality of Red Lake to improve its recreational infrastructure and assist civic leaders with strategic planning and decision making.

• Funding announced for the playground is provided through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150), which is part of the Government of Canada’s coordinated approach to mark the anniversary of Confederation and designed to leave a lasting legacy in communities across the country.

• FedNor is delivering CIP 150 in Northern Ontario with an allocation of $10.4 million over two years, ending March 31, 2018.

• Funding announced for the feasibility study is provided through FedNor’s Northern Ontario Development Program, which supports projects that promote sustainable community economic development, enhance business development and growth, and facilitate innovation throughout the region.
