Government of Canada Investment Helps Modernize Wabigoon’s Memorial Hall

May 18, 2017 – Wabigoon, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario - FedNor

The Government of Canada is investing $27,685 to enable the Local Services Board of Wabigoon to make improvements to its Memorial Hall. Operated by the Wabigoon Memorial Hall Committee, the facility is an important gathering place for the community and is used to host a variety of activities and special events for citizens of all ages. 

Bob Nault, Member of Parliament for Kenora, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced this Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program investment. Specifically, the funding will help extend the life of the facility and improve energy efficiency through the installation of HardiePlank exterior siding and LED light fixtures.
