Government of Canada Invests $100,000 to Cover Outdoor Rink in Township of Carling

May 18, 2017 – Township of Carling, ON – Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario - FedNor

The Government of Canada is investing $100,000 to help the Township of Carling convert its outdoor rink to a multi-use, year-round facility. The funding will assist with the installation of a roof that will help extend the ice season and render the facility suitable for outdoor markets, festivals and events. 

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced this Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program funding. With few recreational facilities available, the rink is used extensively by the township residents.
