A Government of Canada investment of $22,526 will help the Town of Latchford purchase and install a permanent emergency generator at the town’s water plant. Since 2015, the facility has been operating with a temporary rental unit and the community has been searching for an adequate, permanent solution to ensure continued safe water and emergency fire services for its residents.

• The Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) is part of the Government of Canada’s coordinated approach to mark the 150^th anniversary of Confederation. These investments across Canada will help create jobs, boost economic activity, strengthen communities, and celebrate Canada’s rich heritage and history.

• FedNor is delivering this program in Northern Ontario with an allocation of $10.4 million over two years, ending March 31^st, 2018.
