Government of Canada Invests $185,000 to Revitalize and Expand Recreational Infrastructure in Greater Sudbury

The Government of Canada is investing $185,000 in support of two initiatives that will help provide the people of Greater Sudbury with access to safe, affordable and family-friendly recreational infrastructure for years to come. Of the total, $100,000 will enable the Nickel District Conservation Foundation to complete infrastructure improvements to the Lake Laurentian Conservation Area, while an investment of $85,000 will assist the Rainbow Routes Association to expand and connect a four-kilometre, non-motorized multi-use trail system to numerous neighbourhoods and destinations.
Paul Lefebvre, Member of Parliament for Sudbury, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced this Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150) funding.
