FedNor’s support will contribute to keynote speakers at the conference who will provide quality learning opportunities and critical expertise for attendees.

The funds announced today are provided through FedNor’s Northern Ontario Development Program, through which FedNor invests in projects led by municipalities, First Nations, and other organizations and institutions that support community economic development, diversification, job creation, and self-reliant communities in Northern Ontario.

Government of Canada support for not-for-profit municipal organizations is helping rural communities continue to grow while responding to challenges including impacts of the pandemic, transportation, and workforce development. Initiatives like the NOMA conference empower communities to address regional interests and to capitalize on advantages in Northwestern Ontario.
