July 19, 2023 – Fort Frances, ON – Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario – FedNor

The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced a FedNor investment of $16,728 in support of the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship (FFCBC).

Specifically, the funds will support the purchase of an event stage, which will be used throughout FFCBC events, for entertainment, weigh-ins, and prize ceremonies. The stage will include two sets of stairs, as well as skirting and safety rails. The stage will also be available for use by other not-for-profit organizations within the community.

This investment will help support the continuation of the three-day, catch-and-release bass fishing tournament, which is in its 27th year of operation, while also helping additional community organizations and events succeed.
