Media registration is open for National Conference on Financial Literacy

Media can now register to attend the National Conference on Financial Literacy, which will take place in Montreal, November 1 to 3, 2017. Registered media will have the opportunity to engage delegates throughout the event.

The National Conference on Financial Literacy, hosted by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, will bring together over 350 delegates from Canada and abroad including government representatives, non-profits, financial institutions, private sector and academics. 

Media representatives are invited to learn more about Canada’s financial-literacy landscape, how it has evolved since the launch of the National Strategy for Financial Literacy and the future of financial literacy in Canada. Presentations will cover innovative programs that are having an impact on the financial well-being of Canadians, the latest research and emerging trends on topics that hold the key to improving Canadians' financial well-being and new tools to measure and evaluate programs and achieve successful outcomes. 

Opening and closing remarks will be delivered by Lucie Tedesco, Commissioner of the Financial Consumer Agency and Jane Rooney, Financial Literacy Leader. A keynote address will be delivered by Alexandre Bilodeau, two-time Olympic gold medalist, and the conference will be emceed by James Cunningham, Funny Money comic and host of Eat Street. 

All members of the media who wish to attend the conference must register at media@fcac-acfc.gc.ca before October 30, 2017. There is no cost to register for the conference.
