Chairperson
Margaret Biggs (Ottawa, Ontario) - MA, Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University.
Served as president of the Canadian International Development Agency from 2008 to 2013. Previously also served as deputy secretary to the Cabinet and assistant secretary, priorities and planning, in the Privy Council Office (Government of Canada). Has represented Canada in numerous international forums and has served as Canada’s alternate governor to the World Bank and as international executive co-chair of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development.

Mary Ann Chambers (Thornhill, Ontario) - CDir, DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University; Executive Management Program, Queen’s University.
Currently on the GraceKennedy Group’s Board of Directors. Has also served on the Board of Governors of the University of Guelph, the Governing Council of the University of Toronto and on the boards of other not-for-profit organizations, including CUSO International, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, the Project for the Advancement of Childhood Education, the United Way of Canada, United Way Toronto, YMCA Toronto and the Rouge Valley Health System.
Sophie D’Amours (Québec, Québec) - PhD, Industrial Engineering and Applied Mathematics, École Polytechnique; MBA, Operations and Decision Systems, Laval University.
Became Laval University’s first-ever woman rector in June 2017. Has been a professor in the university’s Department of Mechanical Engineering since 1995. Also served as vice-rector of research and innovation from 2012 to 2015.
John McArthur (Washington, D.C.) - PhD, Economics, University of Oxford; MPP, Harvard University.
Serves as a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and as a senior adviser on sustainable development for the United Nations Foundation. Previously served as chief executive officer for the Millennium Promise Alliance; professor at the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University; and senior macroeconomic adviser to the United Nations Development Programme.
Chandra Madramootoo (Montréal, Québec) - PhD, Agricultural Engineering, McGill University; MSc, Agricultural Engineering, McGill University.
Serves on the boards of Valacta, CGIAR and the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics. Previously served on the board of the Research and Development Institute for the Agri-environment. Currently professor in the Department of Bioresource Engineering at McGill University. Previously served as dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and director of the Brace Centre for Water Resources Management at McGill University.
Barbara Trenholm (Fredericton, New Brunswick) - ICD.D, Directors Education Program, Institute of Corporate Directors and Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto; MBA, University of Maine; CPA, New Brunswick.
Serves on the boards of NB Power Tand Plazacorp Retail Properties Ltd. Previously served on the boards of Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd., Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Pension Board of Trustees for the University of New Brunswick. Currently a professor at the University of New Brunswick. Previously served as acting dean at the University of New Brunswick, auditor for the Office of the Auditor General of New Brunswick and author of textbooks on financial accounting.
