Media invited to speak with Canadian influencers on gender equality

Media advisory

May 24, 2019 - In March, the Honourable Maryam Monsef, Minister of International Development and Minister for Women and Gender Equality, launched Canada’s National Committee comprising 16 leaders committed to advancing gender equality. The role of the committee is to help inspire and engage Canadians to take action for gender equality, diversity and inclusion leading up to the Women Deliver 2019 Conference, held from June 3 to 6, 2019, in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Members of the committee will be making themselves available to media in the lead-up to the Women Deliver 2019 Conference. They come from a variety of sectors—including the media, sports, business, academics, civil society and the arts—bringing diverse perspectives on gender equality from across Canada.

Members who are available include Simone Cavanaugh, Helen Kennedy, Léa Clermont-Dion, Caroline Codsi, Emily Mills, Genesa M. Greening, Beth Lyons, Kevin McCort and Vianne Timmons.

Interested media should contact the Global Affairs Canada media team to be connected with committee members.

More information on the members is available at Women Deliver - Canada’s National Committee
