Media registration opens for Ukraine Reform Conference

Media advisory

June 17, 2019 – From July 2 to 4, 2019, Canada will host and co-chair the third international Ukraine Reform Conference in Toronto, Ontario. There will be a ministerial meeting on July 2, followed by two days of discussions at Ukraine House.

The conference will bring together foreign ministers from a number of countries to support Ukraine in realizing its ambitious democratic and economic reforms. Ukraine House in Toronto will serve as a hub for private sector, civil society, government and international partners to connect and hold discussions.

Media representatives who wish to cover the Ministerial must apply in for accreditation using the Government of Canada accreditation portal: https://accreditationcanada.gc.ca/URC-CRU/. The online portal is now open and will close on June 26, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Only accredited media with an identification badge will have access to the Ministerial. Accreditation to the Ministerial will provide full access to Ukraine House in Toronto.

Pick-up of media accreditation badges

Media representatives who have been approved for accreditation will be provided instructions through email on how, when and where to pick up their badges.

Note that accreditation badges must be worn by media at all times during the conference. If your badge is lost or stolen, you must immediately go to the Accreditation Office.

Media centre services

Media representatives will have access to a media centre (filing room) equipped with power and Internet access. No printing services will be available for media.

Additional details on the location of the media centre, its hours of operation and services will come in the coming weeks.

Official program details and further information for the media will be made available soon.
