Bryan May
Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Small Business and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario
Represents the riding of Cambridge
Bryan May was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Cambridge in 2015.
Mr. May previously served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defence. He has also served as the Chair of the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs and the Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities. Additionally, he has been a member of various other parliamentary committees, associations, and groups.
Deeply involved in community activism, Mr. May has worked extensively to provide those most in need with access to better opportunities.
Mr. May has extensive experience in senior management and has held roles with the University of Waterloo as well as various non-profit organizations, including the YMCA and BGC Canada. He also served on the Committee for the Oxford Active Living/Youth Action Plan, was a member of the Y Service Club, and was the Executive Treasurer of the Social Planning Council of Cambridge and North Dumfries, an organization focused on collecting, analyzing, and openly sharing data to strengthen the local community with the goal of eliminating poverty.
Mr. May’s volunteer involvement in Cambridge includes coaching baseball and being a long-time member of numerous charitable organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo and lives in Cambridge with his wife, Kristin, and their two children.
