A highly-skilled Government of Canada (GC) workforce that achieves information management (IM) outcomes by applying the appropriate information management policy instruments.

Strategic Outcomes

  1. Common body of knowledge, learning and assessment tools
  2. Increased common understanding of common policy instruments and assessment tools
  3. Reduction in the number of work descriptions, organization models, and training requirements
  4. Increased common alignment of departmental IM functions
  5. Increased IM-related knowledge and skills for employees at all levels, and for IM functional specialists

Support for Initiatives

Strategic initiatives drive implementation of the GC IM Strategic Outcomes. The initiatives are recommended through the Committee on Information Management in Business (CIMB) People and Capacity Sub-Committee (PCSC).
