Description of program

- duty to accommodate
- occupational health and safety
The WWSC case manager is an advocate for the employee. They provide advice and support to the employee and their manager. They work with the manager and others to develop and implement a plan to meet the employee's accommodation needs.
Privacy impact assessment
A privacy impact assessment (PIA) was carried out because the WWSC uses personal information to make decisions that directly affect individuals.
This PIA focused on how the WWSC manages personal information. It looked at how this information is:
- collected
- used
- disclosed
- retained
- disposed
It didn't look at activities that fall under the responsibility of other organizations.
More information
The PIA identified privacy-related risks related to:
- a lack of documented procedures
- inadequate privacy notice and consent
- unidentified retention and disposal standards
The WWSC and Health Canada and Public Health Agency of Canada Privacy Management Division identified ways to address these risks.
