Atlantic Region

Over 300 employees in the Atlantic Region carry out Health Canada's mandate.

The Atlantic region includes the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. The region has offices in Halifax, Fredericton, Moncton, Charlottetown, St. John's, and Happy Valley - Goose Bay.

Québec Region

Over 500 employees in the Québec Region carry out Health Canada's mandate.

The region has offices in Montréal, Longueuil and Québec. We conduct analysis and research activities in our laboratory building in Longueuil.

National Capital Region

Over 7000 employees in the National Capital Region carry out Health Canada's mandate.

The National Capital Region is comprised of the neighbouring cities of Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Québec, as well as their surrounding areas.

Ontario Region

Over 700 employees in the Ontario Region carry out Health Canada's mandate.

  • Program consultants.

Work sites include a food laboratory, a pharmaceutical-testing laboratory and a drug analysis laboratory in Toronto (Scarborough). The Ontario region also has nursing and community health stations in First Nations communities - some in rural or remote areas. In addition, the region has offices in Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, Guelph, Kingston, Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay.

Manitoba and Saskatchewan Region

Over 1100 employees in the Manitoba and Saskatchewan Region carry out Health Canada's mandate.

  • Personnel that support the region's business in areas such as human resources and finance.

Work sites include nursing stations and community health centres in First Nations communities, a drug analysis laboratory, a food laboratory and two hospitals. In addition, the region has offices in Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Fort Qu'Appelle.

Alberta Region

Over 600 employees in the Alberta Region carry out Health Canada's mandate.

Work sites include nursing and community health stations in the First Nations communities. In addition, the region has offices in Edmonton and Calgary.

British Columbia Region

Over 500 employees in the British Columbia Region carry out Health Canada's mandate.
