Government of Canada to announce funding to help communities respond to increasing opioid-related overdoses

The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Health, will announce funding under the Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP) to provide opioid overdose response training and improve access and distribution of naloxone.

OTTAWA, March 26, 2021 – The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Health, will announce funding under the Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP).

Minister Hajdu will be joined by representatives from The Advanced Coronary Treatment (ACT) Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Red Cross and St. John Ambulance.

There will be a media availability immediately following the announcement.
