Government of Canada to make an announcement regarding the Canadian Drugs and Substances Strategy and the Substance Use and Addictions Program

October 29, 2023, Toronto, Ontario – The Honourable Ya’ara Saks, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions and Associate Minister of Health, will announce funding under the Substance Use and Addictions Program for several projects across Canada and release a renewed Canadian Drugs and Substances Strategy (CDSS). These projects will improve health outcomes for those who are at risk of substance-related harms and overdose.
There will be a media availability immediately following the announcement, followed by an online technical briefing for media regarding the renewed CDSS.
