Consultation: Draft guidance on sampling and mitigation measures for controlling corrosion

Opened on December 16, 2022, and will close to new input on February 15, 2023.
Health Canada has developed a guidance document to provide information on sampling and the mitigation measures needed to control corrosion in drinking water systems. We are looking for comments from regulatory authorities, decision makers and the public on the draft guidance.

Health Canada welcomes input from the following:
- federal, provincial and territorial regulatory and health protection agencies
- industry stakeholders
- academic communities
- non-governmental organizations
- members of the general public
Key questions for discussion
We are looking for suggestions and comments on:
- scientifically supported sampling approaches and mitigation measures to control corrosion in drinking water distribution systems
We will use the information we gather from this consultation to prepare and update the Guidance on controlling corrosion in drinking water systems.
