Notes
- This is not an exhaustive list
- As other suitable alternatives are identified, they will be added to the list
- Companies with existing formulations are encouraged to work with a chemist to properly compare specification sheets and perform preliminary tests prior to purchasing ingredients
- If you are considering natural gums as a replacement rheology modifier, it is important to assess their resistance to the high concentrations of ethanol (or other alcohol)
- Companies are responsible for verifying the accuracy of the formulation and the approval status of an ingredient based on the CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service) number or ingredient INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) name
- Companies are responsible to respect existing Intellectual Property laws. It is recommended to consult with a specialized patent agent
