Biography
Heather Dunn has a B.A. Honours (English) from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Museum Studies from the University of Toronto. Before joining the Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN), Heather worked at or volunteered for a wide range of museums and galleries: the Morse Museum and Cultural Centre, the Kenderdine Art Gallery, the Western Development Museum’s Curatorial Centre, the Toronto Historical Board, the Royal Ontario Museum and the Museum of London (UK).
Heather has been involved in the development, review and promotion of provincial, national and international museum standards for collections management and documentation in museums. She is a member of the Nomenclature Committee and the Canadian Nomenclature Committee, a co-editor of Nomenclature 4.0 and the project lead on the development of Nomenclature as a web reference and linked open data resource.
