Investment of more than $4.4 million
Clean Water and Wastewater Fund
The governments of Canada and Quebec are investing $4,451,396 in two water and wastewater projects to ensure Magdalen Islands residents have access to clean reliable water sources. Funding for these projects was made possible by the signing of a bilateral agreement on July 5, 2016.
The Government of Canada is contributing $2,681,564, representing 50% of the total eligible costs, and the province is providing $1,789,832. The municipality will provide the remaining funding.
