Backgrounder: Canada announces funding for 44 additional water and wastewater projects in Alberta
Backgrounder
A new list of projects has been approved under the Canada-Alberta Clean Water and Wastewater Fund (CWWF) agreement, which is designed to address key infrastructure priorities with a focus on repairing and upgrading existing facilities and assets.
The Government of Canada is providing Alberta with $196,714,129 under the new Clean Water and Wastewater Fund, and will fund up to 50 per cent of the eligible project costs.
As part of the bilateral agreement with Alberta, the following 44 projects are approved for federal funding of more than $38.7 million. Alberta municipalities will be responsible for any remaining project costs.
