Investments of more than $10.8 million
Public Transit Infrastructure Fund
The governments of Canada and Quebec are investing $10,845,000 in five projects being undertaken by the Société de transport de Sherbrooke (STS) to improve commute times, reduce air pollution, strengthen communities and grow the regional economy.
The Government of Canada is contributing $6,025,000, representing 50 per cent of the total eligible costs, and the province is providing $4,820,000, representing 40 per cent of the total eligible costs. The STS will provide the remaining funding.
