Net Zero Aquatic Facility

Design and construction of a 27,000-square-foot aquatic facility to replace an existing pool facility. It includes an eight-lane pool, a 25-metre lap pool, a leisure pool, a lazy river, a steam room, a hot tub, change rooms, a multi-purpose room, and support spaces. The facility will optimize green technology to reach a net zero energy balance by recovering waste heat from a nearby hockey arena (the Omniplex) to serve as the source for the facility's heat pump loop.

G.H. Dawe Community Centre Expansion

Expansion to the existing community centre by approximately 7,200 m2 to increase the south ice rink surface to regulation NHL standard size and add barrier-free access seating. Works will also include modifying the north ice rink to permit a barrier free ice surface to enable use for sledge hockey; enhancing seating for patrons with accessible needs; upgrades to change rooms; addition of a universal change room; modernization of ice plant and related infrastructure for efficiency; construction of new spray park, additional parking, and new public transit shelter; as well as space for a second floor running track, exercise studios and flex space.

Springbrook Water Reservoir and Treatment Plant Replacement

Replacement of the existing water treatment plant and three reservoirs. The new plant and expanded 2,000-m2 reservoir will operate next to an existing reservoir and the chlorine injection building, which will remain in operation.
