Samuel De Champlain Bridge: Special lighting to celebrate the arrival of 2021

Montreal, Quebec, December 31, 2020—Tonight and tomorrow, the Samuel De Champlain Bridge will sparkle with blue and golden white lighting from sunset to sunrise to welcome the New Year. This special lighting will continue from sunset to 1:00 a.m. on January 2 and 3.

“The Samuel De Champlain Bridge’s rainbow lighting since last March has celebrated solidarity, community resilience, and our gratitude to essential workers. On the night of December 31 and January 1, the bridge will shine blue and white to mark the New Year and the hope it brings as the country rolls out COVID-19 vaccines. Let’s all stay safe and continue to look out for one another. Happy New Year!”
