Samuel De Champlain Bridge Celebrates One-Year Anniversary of its Multi-Use Path

Montréal, Quebec, December 23, 2020 – The Government of Canada is pleased to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Samuel De Champlain Bridge multi-use path.
Here are some features of the multi-use path:
- It extends 3.4 km between Montréal and Brossard, and is connected to local cycling routes.
- It is open year-round, and maintained to strict environmental standards throughout the winter.
- The path is well lit and equipped with security cameras and emergency phones to ensure user’s safety day and night.
- Its lookouts are great rest spots to enjoy the spectacular views of downtown Montréal and the Saint Lawrence River.

The Samuel De Champlain Bridge corridor, built as a public-private partnership by Infrastructure Canada and Signature on the Saint Lawrence, includes the Samuel De Champlain Bridge, the Île des Soeurs Bridge and the federal sections of Highway 15 and Highway 10 linking the new bridge to the Greater Montreal transportation network.
