Samuel De Champlain Bridge:  Special Illumination in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Montréal, Quebec, September 9, 2022— Starting this evening, in keeping with the Government of Canada’s official mourning period, the Samuel De Champlain Bridge will glow in royal blue from sunset to 9:30 p.m. in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on September 8, 2022.

Note: After 9:30 p.m., architectural lighting will revert to blue-green illumination, to reduce the risk of disorientating birds during their migration period, which ends November 20.
