Canada and Alberta invest in province-wide upgrades to strengthen community resilience

This funding will support four infrastructure initiatives across Alberta that will help stimulate the economy and address the needs of communities as they recover from the continued impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through the COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream (CVRIS) of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program, the Government of Canada is investing more than $20.6 million towards these projects. The Government of Alberta is contributing more than $4.9 million. The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is contributing $240,000.
