The federal government is investing $9,224,080 through the Disaster Mitigation and Adaption Fund, the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings Program, and the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program – COVID-19 Resilience Stream to support three infrastructure projects in Toronto, Ontario.

The project will provide flooding protection for the Lower Simcoe Street Underpass in downtown Toronto. The objective of the project is to address flooding issues to improve public health and safety, while managing combined sewer overflows and improving the stormwater infrastructure in the area to build resilience to extreme weather events in the future. |
