Media Advisory: Public Transit Announcement in Gatineau

Gatineau (Quebec), June 26 2024 — Media representatives are invited to a press conference at which the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Member of Parliament for Gatineau, the Honourable Steven MacKinnon, on behalf of the Minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities, the Honourable Sean Fraser, and the Minister of Culture and Communications, Minister responsible for Youth and Minister responsible for the Outaouais region, Mathieu Lacombe, on behalf of the Deputy Premier and Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Geneviève Guilbault, will announce a financial contribution to the Société de transport de l'Outaouais for the structuring electric public transit project between the west end of Gatineau and downtown Ottawa.

They will be joined by the Member of Parliament for Pontiac, Sophie Chatel, the Member of National Assembly for Hull, Suzanne Tremblay, the Member of National Assembly for Gatineau, Robert Bussière, the Member of National Assembly for Chapleau, Mathieu Lévesque, the Mayor of Gatineau, Maude Marquis-Bissonnette, and the vice-president of the Société de transport de l'Outaouais, Edmond Leclerc.
