The federal government is investing $22,587,325 through the Veteran Homelessness Program to support ten projects across Canada.

Kitchener Region of Waterloo Veteran Homelessness Strategy Connect Veterans with the local Coordinated Access system to connect them with appropriate housing services. As a Community Entity of Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy, the organization leverages its resources to identify Veterans in the community experiencing or at risk of homelessness. They do this by leveraging the established coordinated system. The Region has also appointed a Veteran System Coordinator and created a network advisory group to guide program activities. $3,077,080
Niagara Regional Municipality of Niagara Veterans Homelessness Program Provide case management, rental assistance, other material supports, and access to wrap-around supports to Niagara’s Veteran population who are experiencing homelessness, and seek to quickly move them into stable and permanent housing. $758,727
Regina The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command Leave the Streets Behind Provide essential services, including financial aid, transitional housing, mental health support, and employment assistance to Veterans in need. These services will be delivered in collaboration with community organizations, local shelters, and health care providers to create long-term, sustainable solutions. $799,662
