Role of the interpreter

Interpreters play an important and integral part in the interview process. The role of the interpreter includes:

• Interpreting both from the language of the person who is the subject of the proceedings into English or French, and from English or French into the language of that person
• Using consecutive interpretation
• Interpreting faithfully and accurately into the other language using the exact equivalent meaning and structure
