Role of the interpreter
Interpreters play an important and integral part in the interview process. The role of the interpreter includes:
- Interpreting both from the language of the person who is the subject of the proceedings into English or French, and from English or French into the language of that person
- Using consecutive interpretation
- Interpreting faithfully and accurately into the other language using the exact equivalent meaning and structure
