Transportation
The Province of Saskatchewan organized a charter for approximately 200 Ukrainians to arrive in Saskatoon on November 23; this is the 4th charter flight for Saskatoon this year.
On November 14, Miles4Migrants (M4M) opened their 8th registration to award 300 tickets to Ukrainians wishing to travel to Canada.300 more tickets will open November 28.
Temporary Accommodations
- As of November 20, there are 500 federally funded accommodations in 9 cities across Canada: St. John’s, Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver.
- The overall occupancy across Canada on November 20 is 68%, with Toronto occupancy at 92%.
- From July 4 to November 20, a total of 3,177 clients have received federally funded accommodation up to 14 nights maximum; 19,958 total nights have been booked.
- There is an ongoing trend of non-Ukrainian asylum seekers requesting CRC support at Toronto Pearson Airport. Teams continue to redirect with referrals to other community organizations as appropriate.
