Nicole Primeau

Nicole Primeau was appointed to the position of Chief Audit Executive, Internal Audit and Accountability at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on January 4, 2022.

She is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor with over 20 years of experience in the areas of internal audit, accounting, finance, risk management and governance. Before joining IRCC, Nicole was Special Advisor to the Assistant Comptroller General, Internal Audit Sector at Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. Prior to that she held various DG level positions at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans including DG, Innovation, Planning and Engagement with the Canadian Coast Guard, Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief Audit Executive, a position she held for five years.

Ms. Primeau holds a Bachelor of Commerce and she currently serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Ottawa Chapter.
