Narrator: We decided to go to Australia, and the plans were not going according to plan at all.

Narrator: I asked my boyfriend, “How was your day? What happened?” And he said, “Yeah, I went to the grocery store today. So, I went to the checkout counter, and my card was declined.”

Narrator: He said, “I’m going to look up tickets home.” And I said, “No, like, you’re not quitting. I believe in us. Like, we can’t give up.

Narrator: I’m gonna get this job.” Then literally the next week, I got my job, and then he got a job like 2 weeks later.

Narrator: So, it worked! We didn’t have to quit, and it was worth it.

Narrator: It’s really challenging, for sure. It’s like a very strong test of how your relationship is, but also sometimes it really makes travelling easier.

Narrator: So, you can take a little break, and the other person can say, “It’s okay, I’ll figure out the next problem.” I brought home my experiences, you know, the memories of all the things that I’ve done.

Narrator: Because I did so many things that I didn’t think I could do. Actually, I pushed myself, and I did so much that I didn’t expect from myself.

Narrator: Using the IEC visa, I was definitely able to, you know, keep a balance.
